Cape Town – An employee at a car wash in Ballito KwaZulu-Natal had to be airlifted to the hospital following an accident on Wednesday.
The man believed to be in his 30s sustained critical injuries when a car accidentally drove over him at his place of employment.
Medi Response and Lenmed eThekwini Hospital paramedics managed to stabilise the victim before he was airlifted to Lenmed eThekwini Hospital.
“Due to the nature of his injuries, the Air Mercy Services emergency medical helicopter has been dispatched to airlift the man to Lenmed eThekwini Hospital to a team of awaiting surgeons,” said Medi Response in a statement on its Facebook page.
The victim reportedly sustained critical injuries to his leg IOL reported.
