Cape Town – A 70-year-old North West pensioner is over the moon after winning the Powerball Plus jackpot and becoming an instant millionaire.
The pensioner, who worked in the mine industry for most of his life, won R33 107 623 from the Powerball Plus June 28 draw.
The R33 107 623 was a massive jump from the R80 which he said was the biggest amount he ever won in the National Lottery in past nine years he had played, reported IOL.
The Rustenburg pensioner bought his winning ticket for R30 and chose his winning numbers manually, the report said.
