Cape Town – South African legendary actress Elsie Rasalanavho, who played the role of Vho-Mukondeleli on SABC2’s Muvhango, reportedly collapsed and was hospitalised after she discovered that she had been fired from the show.
After serving the role on the soap opera for over 25 years, it was reported that the Muvhango production team saw it fit to kill her character.
She died as a cast member in May.

She fell and was admitted to the hospital, the report said.
The news came as a shock, and the 71-year-old actress couldn’t understand what she could have done to the production team for her contract to be terminated, The South African reported.
“When she was told her contract would not be renewed, she collapsed and had to be admitted to the hospital,” the report quoted a source as saying.
Responding to the rumours, the actress was quoted by the report as saying: “Unfortunately, I am unable to talk about it. All I can say is that I am not well and I am not sure if I’ll ever be able to talk about it.”
