Cape Town – The gun used to kill hip-hop star Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his celebrity chef friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane has reportedly been found by the police.
Reports quoted sources close to the investigation as saying that the firearm was recovered in uMlazi, south of Durban, over the weekend.
EWN said a man in his early 20s was allegedly found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
“The firearm was sent for ballistic testing and came back positive as the weapon used to gun down Forbes on the evening of 10 February 2023,” the report said.

According to IOL, it was a 9mm pistol.
It is understood that the man has been arrested, the report said.
However, according to another source, the gun was for hire, said the report.
AKA and Tibz were gunned down on February 10 outside a restaurant in Florida Road in Durban.
