Cape Town – Former Miss South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida, has secured a role in the world of acting, marking her debut on the highly anticipated local TV series Queen Modjadji.
Musida will portray the character of Muthanoni Mulalo, one of the esteemed wives of the king from the VhaVenda Royal Family.
Mzansi Magic has already started production on its new Sunday night prime-time drama. The epic narrative draws inspiration from the legendary rainmaker of the Balobedu, the very first Queen Modjadji, whose ancestors have governed the Lobedu clan in Southern Africa for generations.
The casting carefully focused on the actors’ ability to fluently speak the Khelovedu language and authentically depict the historical figures pivotal to the storyline leading to Queen Modjadji’s reign. The series will feature a mix of experienced, well-known talent and fresh new faces, including Helen Lebepe, Thabo Bopape and Ndavi Nokeri, another former Miss SA.
