Cape Town – A Cape Town woman, Mieshka Achmat, 25, reportedly sustained injuries to her face after she was stabbed during an alleged failed kidnapping on Tuesday this week.
According to IOL, Achmat from Parkwood said she had decided to walk to work after she took her child to a healthcare facility when she noticed a parked white car with two men inside.
“As I was walking I noticed this white car just standing there parking and as I passed, the car started,” she said.
She alleged that the car followed her and when she reached a dead-end street one of the men pounced on her, dragging her to the car and stabbed her.
In a Facebook post, Achmat said that she attempted to fight back, as one of the men tried to cover her face with a cloth.

“I fought [back] while he tried covering my face with a cloth he started hitting me and stabbed me in my face,” she said.
Achmat rescued by a “brave guy” who “came along and helped me get away”.
“I owe him my life,” she said.
Grassy Park Police Station Commander, Colonel Dawood Laing has urged Achmat to file charges at a nearby police station, reported Daily Voice.
“This will also allow us to deploy more resources in the area and increase patrols as well as be on the lookout for any vehicles, and most importantly, to inform the community,” Dawood was quoted as saying.
