Cape Town – Police have reportedly detailed how they found the body of the daughter of former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) secretary-general and attorney Godrich Gardee near Mbombela, Mpumalanga on Tuesday.
According to a police statement, Hillary Gardee, 28, was missing since April,29, and as a result, R100 000 reward was offered for information regarding her disappearance.
“Upon their arrival, they found the body of a lady and it has now been identified by her family as Hillary Gardee, who was reported missing. She was actually still wearing the clothes that were reportedly indicated that she was wearing during her disappearance. She had some wounds on her head and police are investigating a murder case now,” Mpumalanga police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli was quoted as saying by News24.

Police Minister Bheki Cele also visited the site where Hillary’s body was found, saying that though the motive behind her murder is unknown, his department is committed to finding whoever did the heinous crime.
“We have a criminal out there who murdered a young human being, it does look like in a brutal way. So let us get that person… it will help us [to know] if there are politics in it, economics in it if it’s just hate, passions, whatever kind,” the report quoted Cele as saying.
