Cape Town – Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe has tested positive for Covid-19 again, reports said on Sunday.
Mantashe tested positive on Saturday after experiencing mild symptoms, SABC reported.
He is currently in isolation.
This is the second time that the minister has tested positive for coronavirus after he and his wife, Nolwandle Mantashe contracted the virus in July this year.
“He’s working from home. obviously, he’ll have the assistance of the deputy minister. At the moment he is well and able to do his work,” EWN quoted Media Liaison Officer Nathi Shabangu as saying.
