Cape Town – Pan-African business platform Invest Africa is leading an investor mission to Morocco from 2–5 December 2024.
Tech Africa News reports that the mission comes as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 Fifa World Cup with Spain and Portugal.
Morocco is investing an estimated US$4.4 billion in the World Cup, including building the $520 million Grand Stade Hassan II de Casablanca at Benslimane, which will seat 115 000 spectators, making it one of the world’s biggest.

The country is hoping the World Cup will earn it about US$1.2 billion, mainly from tourism and infrastructure development.
The Invest Africa investor mission to Morocco, comprising 30 senior executives and investors from leading British and international companies, will explore Morocco’s investment landscape, focusing mainly on energy, infrastructure and financial services.
“In a world where strategic positioning is everything, Morocco stands out with its blend of stability, innovation, and growth potential,” says Invest Africa CEO Chantelé Carrington
“This mission is about unlocking the untapped – and under tapped – potential that Morocco offers to global investors. By collaborating with the Moroccan Embassy in the UK, we are creating a platform where business meets opportunity, paving the way for impactful and sustainable investments in this critical African market.”
What is especially attractive about Morocco as an investment destination is its newly introduced investment charter, which is designed to streamline business operations and provide enhanced support for foreign enterprises.
“We anticipate that this mission will result in concrete, impactful achievements that will further drive Morocco’s economic progress and support sustainable development across the African continent,” said Hakim Hajoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the UK.
