Travellers to the Cape Winelands invariably land up at Babylonstoren, the wine farm and lifestyle estate nestled under the Simonsberg Mountain. While there, visitors can tour the beautiful gardens, whose bountiful produce they can enjoy at one of the estate’s restaurants. Guests can experience fine dining at the award-winning Babel restaurant or enjoy a more relaxed meal under the trees at the Greenhouse restaurant.

And the very lucky guests get to stay overnight at the Babylonstoren Farm Hotel, which has just been voted as South Africa’s best hotel by readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the US.

Bizcommunity reports that it is the fourth consecutive year that the Babylonstoren has captured top spot in this category, having scored 99.27.

The Babylonstoren hotel is also ranked 28th on the list of the Best Hotels in the World in the 2024 Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Awards.

Meanwhile, Wine.co.za, reports that the Babel restaurant has been chosen as Africa’s Best Farm-to-Table Restaurant at the 2024 World Culinary Awards in Dubai.
