Cape Town – Woolworths has denied a claim circulating on social media that charities receiving end-of-life food donations from the company are required to sign a contract ensuring the food is not given to white homeless people, due to Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) regulations.
The claim was made by Saxon African, a right-wing account, which alleged that BEE rules restrict the distribution of food to white homeless people.
