Leading residential subscription-based solar energy provider, GoSolr, is poised to re-shape the industry with the launch of its innovative artificial intelligence solution – the GoSolr Brain.
This AI-fueled hardware is GoSolr’s response to increased customer demands for solutions that streamline their solar power needs, providing remote management and ease of living through trusted technological solutions.
The Brain is specifically developed for remote monitoring, managing batteries dynamically as new information is made available, integrating load management to maintain system health, and peace of mind and maximise financial savings.
“The Brain is set to dramatically reshape the industry with its ability to ensure that power is available when and where it’s needed, maximising savings while minimising reliance on the power grid,” says Dr Patrick Narbel, Chief Technology Officer at GoSolr.
“We are taking the concept of managed services to another level by adjusting consumption and battery settings to respond to changing weather, consumption patterns, tariffs and risk for planned and unplanned outages via the GoSolr Brain.”
When GoSolr initially launched, a team of support agents would manually adjust customers’ settings in response to changing loadshedding levels. As its customer base grew, this was no longer feasible prompting the need for a fully automated solution for hassle-free, easy living.
“As loadshedding became less prevalent, we saw the emergence of a new trend where solar companies started to offer basic timers to shift some load to sunny hours and improve savings as a result, and one of the Brain’s features to the ability learn users’ usage energy consumption patterns, adapting to their lifestyles, to make sure that each user has power when and where they need it, by adapting to these habits and shifting when geysers, pool pumps, etc. run via smart relays,” says Narbel.
The Brain’s ability to seamlessly integrate into customers’ lives and routines not only provides custom system management designed for specific needs but also shows the potential of the latest technological advancements to elevate the overall experience, allowing solar PV systems to operate efficiently without constant human intervention.
The Brain further positions GoSolr as a key player in South Africa as no other player in the market combines all these services under the same roof.
“As the solar energy industry continues to grow in South Africa so does the need for smart, reliable solutions that offer the user more control of their energy usage,” says Andrew Middleton, Chief Executive Officer of GoSolr. “At a time where artificial intelligence and technological advancements are under immense scrutiny, we’re excited to merge two rapidly growing sectors into one solution that will change how residential solar is experienced in South Africa.”
As the solar energy landscape continues to evolve, GoSolr is leading the charge with smarter, reliable solutions that make solar easier, more efficient and ultimately more cost effective.
