Cape Town – President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to deliver a keynote address at the Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town on Monday.
The four-day event, running from 3 to 6 February 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, is the world’s largest gathering of key mining stakeholders.
This year’s theme, “Future-proofing African Mining, Today!”, focuses on sustainability and economic growth in the sector.
According to the Presidency, Ramaphosa’s participation will emphasise the Indaba’s role in driving investment and sustainable economic development in South Africa and across Africa.
“The President’s participation will highlight the contribution and continued commitment of the Indaba for stimulating interest into African mining for the sustainable economic development of South Africa and the rest of the African continent,” the Presidency said in a statement on Friday.
