Cape Town – Social media has reacted after former finance minister Tito Mboweni took to his Twitter account to make it known that he is not into dubious business.
“There is nothing that irritates me more than when people ask me to call people or connections for this or that job or contract.
“Follow the procedures and standing orders. Please don’t call me for that kind of thing. I don’t have connections,” Mboweni tweeted.

According to Times Live, this was not the first time that the minister distanced himself from corrupt activities.
Last year, he made remarks over those who were involved in corruption, saying they were often the loudest.
“In my observation, the most corrupt among us sing and speak the loudest. They always claim to be the most revolutionary of all. Meanwhile back at the ranch,” the report quoted Mboweni as saying at the time.

You become very annoyed when it’s black entrepreneurs asking to be introduced to decision makers for above board projects but you do it all the time with white “investors” at golf clubs and nature reserves. Skare bora. pic.twitter.com/l2H3mONJNq

Only now they shouldn’t call you, what a blunder you just uttered, so they are used to you giving them jobs??? and when did you realised that you don’t have jobs anymore? If those people have your contacts, why can’t you talk to them privately? You must be investigated.
