Cape Town – Motorists have been advised to expect severe traffic congestion on the N1 North following an oil tanker spill just after the Diepkloof Interchange near Soweto.
All lanes are closed, and traffic is being diverted to Rand Show Road, the Joburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) said in a statement on Wednesday.

It said that significant delays are anticipated, and drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes.
Emergency services and the JMPD are working to clear the spill and will provide further updates.
