Cape Town – Billionaire Patrice Motsepe’s African Rainbow Capital Investments (ARCI) has announced plans to delist from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and relocate from Mauritius to South Africa.
Acccording to Daily Invest, the company revealed on 18 March 2025, plans to purchase all ordinary shares in ARCI, aiming to enable the delisting of ARCI, ARC, and ARC SPV.
ARCI’s current structure, established in Mauritius for its business-friendly environment and tax benefits, failed to attract significant international funding.

“This strategy has not materialised to the extent expected,” the company said.
Additionally, the cost of operating in Mauritius has become increasingly expensive, and changes in tax legislation have led to inefficiencies for South African shareholders.
The shift to South Africa aims to optimise operations and better reflect the value of its investments in South African companies.
