Cape Town – South Africa is set to host the G20 foreign ministers meeting this week, with International Relations Minister Ronald Lamola highlighting it as a key platform for discussions on global geopolitical issues.
The meeting comes amid diplomatic tensions and US aid cuts.
According to SABC News, Lamola expects robust discussions, particularly on bridging gaps between the Global South and North, advocating for development financing in Africa, and addressing climate change.

He emphasised that Africa, despite being heavily impacted by climate change, receives less than 3% of global climate financing, calling it a global failure.
