Cape Town – Eskom has announced that load shedding will be suspended at 12:00 on Saturday.
The power utility said that the power system has recovered to a point where loadshedding can be stopped at 12:oo.
Eskom began stage 2 loadshedding on Tuesday and planned to keep it in effect through the weekend until 05:00 on Monday, March 9.
“Although we have brought back these generators, the onset of winter has seen increased demand and this will lead to a constrained system throughout the winter. We therefore urge all South Africans to continue using electricity sparingly,” the power utility said in a statement.
