CapeTown – Eskom has announced that stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 17:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday evening.
“A shortage of generation capacity during the evening peak will require the implementation of Stage 2 load shedding from 17:00 until 22:00 tonight.
“This morning two generation units at Hendrina Power Station and one at Matimba Power Station were taken offline for repairs. One generation unit at Arnot Power Station was returned to service,” said the power utility in a statement.
Eskom urged the public to use electricity sparingly during the early hours of the morning and in the evening.
