Cape Town – Power has been restored to all affected areas in Tshwane following a major outage that left 95 000 residents without electricity on Monday night.
Eskom technicians worked to replace the faulty voltage transformer at the Babelegi substation.
“Electricity supply is restored in Bridgeview, Dilopye, Eersterus, GaMotla, Hammanskraal West, Hans Kekana, Kudube, Majaneng, Makapanstad, Mashimong, Mathibestad, Rens, Sekampaneng, Stinkwater , Suurman and Temba.

“We thank our customers for their patience while we worked on restoring supply,” Eskom said in a statement on Tuesday.
The restoration comes amidst cold weather conditions in Gauteng.
