Cape Town – The ongoing stage 6 rolling blackouts are set to be lowered, with Eskom saying it will implement stages 3 and 4 rotational cuts over the weekend.
“Stage 6 load shedding will continue to be implemented until 05:00 on Saturday. Thereafter, Stage 3 load shedding will be implemented from 05:00 until 16:00 and Stage 4 load shedding will be implemented from 16:00 to 05:00 on Saturday,” Eskom said in a statement.
The power utility said the cycle will be repeated on Sunday until 05:00 on Monday.
“Eskom will publish a further update as soon as any significant changes occur.
“The delays in returning a unit to service at Kriel and two units at Tutuka Power Stations have contributed to the capacity constraints,” said Eskom
