Cape Town – Eskom announced on Friday that it has been forced to implement Stage 6 load shedding “until further notice” after it lost more units at four of its power stations.
“Stage 6 load shedding will be implemented at 05:00 until further notice. This is due to failures of generating units at Tutuka, Kriel, Duvha and Kendal power stations since yesterday.
“Eskom will publish a further update as soon as there are any significate changes,” the power utility said.

Eskom had been alternating between stages 5 and 6 since Tuesday.
