Dakar – The West African state-run carrier Air Senegal said on Wednesday it had fired chief executive Ibrahima Kane, a move that follows mounting complaints over service quality.
Kane, who had been boss since April 2019, has been replaced by El Hadji Badara Fall, a pilot by training who was previously an adviser at the air transport ministry.
The reshuffle was decided at a board meeting on Tuesday, the company said on its website.

No reason was given, but the firm has faced weeks of criticism over flight delays, cancellations and lost luggage. Its press office could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.
Air Senegal, set up in 2016 and owned by the state through the CDC deposit bank, has 10 aircraft serving 24 destinations in Africa, Europe and America.
It took over from Senegal Airlines, a majority privately-held firm that was wound up the same year.
