Cape Town – South African author and activist Zoleka Mandela, who was diagnosed with cancer in her liver and her lungs in August, has indicated her intention to donate her eggs anonymously.
Her eggs are stored at a fertility clinic.
She revealed in a tweet where she had a poll trying to gauge the thoughts of other people when deciding what she wanted to do.
“Beloved hearts! What do you think I should do with my eggs which have been stored at the fertility clinic, now that I have been diagnosed with stage 4, terminal cancer?,” she asked her followers on Twitter.
Out of the 2 635 people who voted, 81% wanted her to donate the eggs anonymously.

Despite her battle with cancer, Zoleka still finds the strength within herself to motivate other women.
“A Queenly reminder, “With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts,” and guess what? YOU get to shape it however way you want, okay?” she wrote in the caption of one of her posts on Instagram.
