Cape Town — Black Coffee has paid tribute to former music star, Zahara, who died on Monday, aged just 35.
Zahara passed away following liver complications that had left her hospitalised for a couple of weeks. She was a multi-award-winning artist, gained widespread recognition over the past 12 years for her unique musical style. Her her debut album “Loliwe” achieving double platinum status in 2011.
Zahara received a ton of compliments from celebrities and famous names alike, including the likes of Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa, actress Pearl Thusi, Lady Zamar, as well as the EFF.
One of those who also paid tribute to Zahara was award-wining DJ, Black Coffee. He recognised her talent as a musician and also paid tribute to the kind person she was..

The South African reported that Zahara was a fan favourite, and her music was loved by many; they said her voice spoke to the soul. Despite having her career continually affected by health issues, Zahara continued to give fine music. She was loved beyond borders, and many fans are mourning her, crying in tears.
Many others echoed Black Coffee’s sentiments and took to the comments section to pay tribute to Zahara and honour her outstanding music career.
