Cape Town – South African musician Prince Kaybee revealed that he has no intentions of working with award-winning South African DJ Black Coffee again.
Prince Kaybee and Black Coffee have been involved in a feud on social media since 2020 and it seems like there’s no chance that the two will ever settle their differences.
Black Coffee previously said their social media feud started after Prince Kaybee felt that he had “made it” in his career and that he was full of himself. Kaybee did not take kindly to Black Coffee’s comments and responded swiftly when he appeared on Podcast and Chill with MacG.
“Black Coffee doesn’t know me personally as a human being before getting to the stunts that were being done on Twitter … He made a comment about my personality that he doesn’t know about … for him to represent my character like that was a bit off and I don’t think it’s worth my response,” he said.
Kaybee added: “I really love the brand, I love what he has achieved, it’s someone that has always inspired me… I don’t think I would be able to learn anything from him now or associate myself with him in any issue moving forward.”
That was not the last of Kaybee’s thoughts towards Black Coffee. Speaking on Everything SA Music, Kaybee was candid about his comments regarding the DJ.
“I’ve got this thing about me … apparently it’s being arrogant. I really need you to earn my respect from a very personal point. Respect and recognition are two different things. I can recognise you as the world’s number one DJ but you can’t force me to respect you,” Kaybee said.
Meanwhile, Black Coffee has also made clear his stance on the issue, saying: “He was never my guy so there’s nothing to resolve. He’s going on with his thing, I’m going on with my thing,” TimesLIVE reported.
