Cape Town – South African filmmaker and comedian Leon Schuster has dismissed rumours that he is dead, saying “it’s starting to feel like someone wants him dead”.
According to The Citizen, Schuster was in the middle of a meeting on Monday this week when he received several phone calls from a friend.
When he returned the calls, his friend asked whether he was okay because there were rumours that he had died.
People in Namibia also called Schuster to express their worry.

He said that despite being a comic, he does not take jokes about death lightly.
“Can you imagine how your heart would feel if they said it to you? It’s not a nice thing to hear. The word ‘death’ doesn’t sit well with me,” the report quoted Schuster as saying.
This is not the first time rumours regarding his death have circulated.
According to The South African, in 2014 he was reported to be dead after he was in a “car accident”.
The Mr Bones star says he wonders if people would really believe he is dead when the time comes.
“I think I have died 13 or 15 deaths by now.
“Why do they do it? I don’t know why they target me?,” asked Schuster.
