Cape Town – Businesswoman and socialite, Shauwn “MamKhize” Mkhize this week took it upon herself to offer assistance to the iconic former TV presenter and artist Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini.
This came after social media was abuzz with pleas from people asking for financial intervention towards Zola after a video showing his current state went viral.
MaMkhize took to her Instagram page on Thursday to share with her followers how she had lended a hand to the once prolific famous artist, who also once in his lifetime, was a philanthropist to the needy.
In one video clip, MamKhize is with Zola in a Bentley, as she shows him the ropes.
“Zola thank you for visiting us today and we’ll be seeing you soon. All those that can lend a helping hand let’s come together and show up for one of our own,” said MamKhize as she tagged prominent businessmen on the post including Patrice Motsepe.

MamKhize said that Zola is an “unsung hero and has been a catalyst for change in our society for many years”.
“Guys, I just want to encourage all of us to do the right thing especially when it comes to one of our own. Zola is an unsung hero who has been a catalyst for change in our society for many years. Let’s not turn a blind eye,” said MamKhize.

After growing calls on social media for his banking details to be made public. Zola heeded the call and took to his Facebook page to share his banking details.
“I’ve received hundreds of texts asking for my banking details. I see I’m trending on Twitter and plenty of people are offering financial assistance as gratitude. I’ve never expected anything in return for the help I’ve given people in need but this is truly humbling.
Initially I rejected this notion ngoba I’m a proud nguni man kodwa futhi kuthiwa ungabo jikisa isipho osphiwa sona. Ngakho, ngiyabonga Guluva Nation. I can’t respond to all of you kodwa here are the banking details eniwacelile,” he posted.
