Cape Town – South African musician Zakes Bantwini trended this week on Twitter after he shared a snippet of his song titled, ‘Osama’ which he played at a recent live-streamed Kunye series event with Thandi Draai & Darque.
Zakes was the latest artist to be featured on Shimza’s Kunye series, which aims to provide a platform that connects both South Africa’s established and unsung artists to international artists and peers.
During his live-streamed show on August 19, Zakes introduced Mzansi to one of his art of work, the song “Osama”.
South Africans instantly fell in love with the song and gave it an anthem status.
