Cape Town — South African music producer, Zakes Bantwini, showcased how social media has the power to change the lives of so many people.
Zakes used all of his social media presence and know-how to recruit the man behind the ‘Ngin’mele Nonke’ audio trending on TikTok so he could credit him properly for using the audio on his new album, called ‘The Star Is Reborn’ that is coming out on 8 December, IOL reported.
Zakes then took to his X account and showed his fans that he got a visit from the TikTok sensation to bring him to the studio to sign a contract.
“Look who came to see me in the studio today, Thank you guys for making this happen, deal done and dusted. Ngin’mele Nonke album out this Friday #thestarisreborn,” he wrote.

According to The South African, Zakes revealed this will be the last album he will be releasing and he is set to retire from making music.
“I don’t want to say I’m retiring from music, but this is my last album that I’m working on under this brand. It’s over for Zakes Bantwini. But Zakhele Madida is still going to produce music for other people, and you know what they say… you should quit while you are still on top,” he said.
