Cape Town — The mother of former rapper AKA, Lynn Forbes, says she believes the reason behind her son’s tragic death will remain a mystery to her.
Lynn was speaking at the Metropolitan Thematic Media Roundtable where she said she was not eagerly awaiting answers because she already knows how her son died, but she doubts if the killers will ever be found, The South African reported.
“I am not waiting for answers because it will consume me. I am trying to continue and not look for closure because seeing my son die in that video, and seeing what happened to him, was enough closure for me,” she said.
“I still remain confident, but it’s not something I wait for. I do think that there will be an arrest on who pulled the trigger, but I am not confident that we will ever know who paid for the bullet,” she added.

Lynn said losing your son is something you can never prepare for but she said she understood the assignment of what it meant to be a mother.
“I believe that you can’t really prepare consciously. I think life prepares you for what’s to come. So, in my case, I don’t think that I am a strong person, but I believe I understood the assignment, and I understand my role within the family.”
“I think you need to understand your role as a mother and that people look up to you for guidance. And in my case, what prepared me for that is the time that my son, Kiernan, was in this industry,” she said.
