Cape Town – South African singer Kelly Khumalo has taken to social media to respond to a viral video of school children singing a defamatory song about her.
In the video, the kids likely around the ages of 7 or 8 can be heard labelling Kelly a “Johannesburg b**ch who killed Senzo Meyiwa”.
The video was taken inside a classroom allegedly by an educator.
It is not clear where and which school the video was filmed.
The young learners sing in isiZulu: “I hate Kelly Khumalo. She is a Johannesburg b**ch who murdered Senzo Meyiwa.”
In response to the video, Kelly shared a clip of her own daughter reading a book and captioned it in isiZulu, which can be translated to: “You say you are destroying me. But you are destroying the future of your children.”

Commenting on the disturbing video, Kelly’s manager Kgothatso Tsotetsi said:
“This is nothing to do with Kelly Khumalo, but an educational issue.
“It shows the level of maturity that teachers invent to these kids. I’m sure even their parents are not aware that these kids are uttering such words in class. The department is the problem here,” according to Daily Sun.
IOL, reported that the Department of Education was investigating the matter.
