Cape Town — South African music sensation, Tyla, has given fans a taste of her latest music video for her new hit song, Breathe Me, which is the next hit-single on her debut album.
The two songs are a continuation of one story. The music video for Breathe Me starts with the final shots of her other hit single, Truth or Dare. The two songs and the respective videos showcase two sides to a story.
While Truth or Dare is a story about Tyla trying to escape an obsessive ex, Breathe Me is a story about two young lovers spending a night together and enjoying each other’s company, singing karaoke, laughing in stores and spending a lot of time in each other’s arms.
Breathe Me is shot and filmed in Japan and showcases the entire night between Tyla and her date.
According to The South African, Tyla’s performance is heartfelt and intimate, which showcases the chemistry between the two and the video sums up carefree and youthful romance.
Tyla’s self-titled debut album has been making waves since its release.
“It’s my introduction, so I just wanted it to be easy: Tyla. Plain and simple, letting people know I’m here,” she said.
Her decision to lead with a self-titled record was a deliberate one.
“I really wanted to give a statement because I think that shows confidence, and I’m just ready.”
