Cape Town – “Here we are over stunning South Africa,” Tom Cruise said, as he was preparing to dive from a plane through the beautiful sky SA has to offer, thanking those who went out to the cinema in support of his latest movie Top Gun Maverick.
At the beginning of the video, Cruise revealed that he is in South Africa filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts one and two.
“I didn’t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theatres, and thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise said as he geared himself to fall out of the plane.
After tapping Cruise on the shoulder, the camera veers to Christopher McQuarrie who is returning to the franchise. “Hi everybody, thank you,” McQuarrie said before pointing to his wrist and telling Cruise, “We really got to roll, we got to get this shot.”
Acknowledging his concern, Cruise says, “will see you down there,” before he calmly ejected himself from the plane as though this was a routine activity.

While in mid-air, Cruise nonchalantly resumed thanking the fans for supporting his movie.
“As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honour of a lifetime. I’m running out of altitude, so I’ve got to get back to work.
“We’ve got to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday. We’ll see you at the movies,” Cruise said as he went spiralling towards the ocean.
