Cape Town – As the year 2022 draws to a close, people have begun to reflect on the moments that made their year; South African-born actress Thuso Mbedu has done the same, and shared a moment that made her birthday special.
She took to Instagram to post a video of her co-stars in The Woman King singing happy birthday to her.
“Going through my files to reflect on the year and realizing I forgot to share this moment,” she wrote in the caption of the video.
“The plan was to be in New York on this day but it was the only day where all five of us would be available for this iconic photoshoot… and it also happened to be my birthday (in July).
“Always grateful for these lifetime memories,” she added.

Gina Prince-Bythewood took to the comments section to express how she missed these sorts of moments.
“I miss alla this…❤️,” Gina wrote.
Samurider expressed what a sweet moment she thought it was.
“Such a wholesome and beautiful moment- I had to sing along and doing a lil bop for you,” Samurider said.
Some followers were very excited on behalf of Thuso, with one writing about how spectacular it is to have American actress and producer, Viola Davis singing happy birthday to Thuso.
“Like Thuso Joe did you ever?? Like did you ever think one day somewhere in your life you would have Viola Davis.. thee Viola Davis sing you happy birthday?? Like right there next to you ? Yhoooo heeeee,” a follower wrote.
