Cape Town — South African Grammy-award winner, Zakes Bantwini, recently gushed over his wife, Nandi Madida, and said there was nothing he didn’t love about her.
Nandi shared a clip of Zakes when he appeared on MacG’s podcast.
MacG asked him what it was that he loved most about his wife and the producer was in awe of her beautiful spirit and her ambitious and kind nature.
“Is there anything not to love about my wife? That woman is everything. I wish people could see the amount of fights and money she has lost trying to push for natural hair for Africans,” he said.
He continued to tell a story of how Nandi had been in the running for an international endorsement that paid big bucks but she lost the deal because she refused to delete a tweet expressing personal views she was passionate about.
“To see that woman not being swayed by money, she can go somewhere motivate for free and leave a gig that is supposed to pay her because it does not represent what she feels it represents. If something isn’t pushing African and isn’t pushing girls forward, she’s not part of it, no matter how much you are going to pay her,” Zakes continued.

According to TimesLIVE, the couple have been married for 10 years and they never shy away from showing their love to each other on their social media pages. Nandi was full of praise for her husband after his historical Grammy award for Best Global Performance.
“The most inspiring is that no matter what he achieves, Zakes continues to remain humble, loving and kind-hearted. No matter what the accolade may be, the true essence of who he is and his character is what I celebrate most about him and enjoy,” she said.
Zakes said his win was for all of South African and he hoped that his win would inspire young South Africans .
“I want every young kid in the ghetto in South Africa to dream big and believe we deserve to be recognised on the biggest stages in the world,” he said.
