Cape Town — The choir representing KZN at the Clash of the Choirs SA (COTCSA) paid tribute to former rapper, AKA, with their latest performance
Team KZN was led by SA artists, Ntencane, as they honoured AKA with a medley of some of his greatest hits in the closing performance of the night. Ntencane said they wanted to show that KZN still loves him.
On the COTCSA’s official X page, they uplaoded a short clip of the choir singing AKA’s hit song Fella in Versace.
“We decided to do a medley of his songs so that people can see that KZN loves AKA and appreciates his work,” Ntencane said.
“Long live Supa Mega, live long. Not #TeamNtencane honouring AKA with an entire medley. We love to see it. #COTCSA”

The competition premiered in September on Mzansi Magic after a seven-year absence. The show is about a team of celebrity choirmasters who put together their own choir to lead represent a South African province, while competing for a R1million cash prize, The Citizen wrote.
The judges were impressed by the performance as judges, Buhlebendalo Mda and Dr Tumi, both praised the team for their perofrmances.
“I enjoyed it… Ntencane, you rapped so beautifully, it’s like you were performing at Moses Mabhida Stadium,” Buhlebendalo said.
“I love how you have a very different creative mind in how you arrange your songs,” Tumi said.
The latest episode of the show saw Prince Kaybee’s Team Gauteng eliminated from the competition, with only five teams left in the competiton.
Last night we said goodbye to #TeamPrinceKaybee and trust us, that’s not the only reason tears were shed. 😢 If you missed #COTCSA, catch up with @DStv Stream. CLICK: https://t.co/mCTicNMcyg pic.twitter.com/qO9scYJJ1L
