Cape Town – South African musician and businessman Sibusiso Leope, popularly known as DJ Sbu, is trending again, but this time it’s not for his ‘unkempt look’ that many said made him look like a “hobo”.
For the past weeks, the businessman has been trending after photos of him with untidy dreadlocks and beard coupled with a dirty-looking-poncho raised concerns on social media.
This time, the Youtuber’s backlash follows after he gave a roadside artist a mere R50.
The MoFaya beverage company owner met up with the entertainer, who claims to be making a living by entertaining motorists with his MoFaya cans eccentric.
Their meeting and conversation were captured on video and shared on social media.

“This is my way of earning a living, second thing is, I like MoFaya. I drink it whenever I have money to buy it. Then I thought of putting it once like this,” said the man.
The popular DJ then gives the roadside artist a R50 as a token of appreciation.
“Just because you’ve got MoFaya here, this is from me to you,” said DJ Sbu before giving the man a handshake.
But social media users were not impressed with the amount DJ Sbu gave.
Some felt he could have done more as a self-confessed millionaire while some thought it was all the famous DJ had on him at the time.
Here are some reactions from Twitter

Name one big brand owner who sees people wearing his brand and give them money, let alone stopping by and talking to them. Some people like to put pressure on successful people
