Cape Town — Amapiano star Uncle Waffles hosted her first-ever international gig after she performed at the Great Hall in Brooklyn, receiving praise from none other than Missy Elliott.
Uncle Waffles met Missy Elliott at her own curated party in New York last week and she could not believe when the four-time Grammy winner took to her X account and uploaded two videos from the party, prasing and tipping her for greater stardom.

According to The Citizen, the show featured performances by exotic dancers. If one did not know better then you would have assumed the party was hosted at Soweto’s Zone 6, with the amount of Amapiano songs racing out of the speakers.
She was supported by Joburg native R&B and Amapiano singer Tyla, DJ Moma and Mzansi’s mysterious Amapiano DJ duo, 2WO Bunnies.
Uncle Waffles shared the pictures and clips to her Instagram, including some behind-the-scenes footage.
