Cape Town – After a noteworthy performance in South Africa’s test match against Ireland this past weekend, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has garnered recognition from Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus.
Making his third appearance for the Springboks, Sacha is known for his skills as a flyhalf, however, he seamlessly transitioned to the full-back position during this game.
Although the Springboks faced defeat, Sacha’s efforts did not go unnoticed. In a post-match briefing, coach Erasmus praised the young talent.
“It is sad to lose, but the experience that Sacha got from playing one of the best teams and most structured teams in the world, he will take that and use that experience going forward,” he said.
“Sacha definitely brings something else to the game with individual brilliance that’s not always structured. He did not look out of place, and it was just his third game.”

The Rise of Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu:
Sacha followed in the footsteps of many Springboks before him, emerging from the prestigious Bishops’ Diocesan College in Cape Town, where rugby reigns supreme. Influenced by the school’s rich rugby culture, Sacha quickly made a name for himself.
As reported by The South African, he dazzled on the field with the Western Cape Stormers and even captained the Junior Boks. His impressive talent then caught the eye of coach Erasmus, landing him a coveted spot on the Springboks squad.
Over the years, Sacha’s dad, well-known Heart FM presenter Nick Feinberg, has beautifully documented his son’s journey with a collection of photos shared on X.
