Cape Town – South African actress Angelique Gerber has expressed gratitude after defeating singer Tasché Burger in a boxing match at a BoxOp event over the weekend.
According to The Citizen, Gerber announced earlier this year that she will compete in the first-ever female fight in a BoxOp event.
She asked fans to tag the person they wanted to see in the boxing ring with her, and in the end, Burger accepted the fight.
Gerber and Burger both took part in the boxing match to raise awareness about gender-based violence.
The match took place at SuperSport Park in Centurion.
Gerber won by a unanimous decision, winning on points, and was crowned champion of BoxOp Edition Three.
