Cape Town – Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus recently shared an update on his recovery from shoulder surgery, revealing a long scar in a social media post.
He humorously apologised to current players for previously dismissing the difficulty of ice baths, which he has now embraced for their recovery benefits.
“We never had ice baths in ‘my days,’ I always thought the players now were just moaning and being soft when going in there! I appolgize,” he captioned the post.

The post, liked by Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, highlighted ice baths’ advantages, including reduced inflammation, improved circulation, and faster recovery.
During the festive season, Rassie has been spending time with family and friends, sharing moments on Instagram.
He is expected to resume duties in 2025, preparing to call up new Springbok recruits.
