The reason for Rowland’s visit was revealed by EastCoastRadio in June. They reported that Rowland was in South Africa to shoot a video for her new campaign with Brutal Fruit.
She has joined the brand’s ‘You Belong’ campaign which aims to “show every South African that they ‘Belong’ no matter what”. Kelly spent three full shoot days working on her campaign video. She revealed why she was so happy to get involved in this campaign during in an interview.
“I haven’t seen anything, in a long time, more authentic. I was happy that they reached out to me because it was just a moment for us to have a connection. You Belong… it means (to me) there is nothing that I should talk myself out of, the greatness is there for me to take it and grasp it.”
“I am looking forward to returning to South Africa, one of my favourite places in the world,” she said.
