Cape Town — South African rapper, Nadia Nakai, has drawn criticism for her appearance at the recent CottonFest event that happened in Cape Town this weekend.
Nadia was one of the headline performers at the event and shared the stage alongside some of SA’s biggest artists, including Nasty C and YoungstaCPT.
She took to her Instagram timeline and uploaded a montage video of her performance at CottonFest. She played ehr song – Back In – over the video as she hyped the crowd with her performance.
“COTTONFEST CAPE TOWN!!! Was special man! 🫶🏾” she wrote.

However, despite Nadia’s performance going well, she received a ton of criticism for her outfit choice. Nadia dazzled in a zip up body-hugging top paired with a mini skirt. The skirt was so short that it revealed her g-string underneath.
People took to the comments section and lambasted her for her outfit, with some even comparing her to controversial dancer, Zodwa Wabantu.
@itsjustmegambino: “Good music, Good performance but dial it down on the nudity please”
@naomieh27: “Love Nadia, but eish that skirt is a bit too much😮”
@phantom_goat: “What In The Desperation Of Seeking Attention Is This 😳😳😳? I Wish The Lord Almighty Punishes Y’all For Setting A Bad Example For Kid’s”
@michellenokukhanya: “Everyone becoming Zodwa wa bantu to stay relevant”
