Cape Town — South African actress Minnie Dlamini says she is ready to embrace love yet again after her highly-publicised divorce from businessman Quinton Jones in 2022.
The couple were married for five years before going through a divorce, which was finalised last year. She had previously said in an interview with DJ Fresh in April that she was not looking for love and was going to focus on herself for a while.
“Now I am 32 turning 33 and I’m actually starting to rediscover who Minnie is alone, and it’s a very interesting journey. It’s not lonely, but it is difficult realising in spaces and places I probably shouldn’t have been in,” she said.
Minnie did an exclusive interview with MetroFM recently, where she expressed her intention to remarry after a challenging divorce.
“I believe in marriage,” she said, her voice brimming with optimism, “I think it’s one of the most beautiful unions. And I can’t wait to hopefully get back to that space.”

Minnie had another exciting announcement as she was selected to be the new host of the Miss World South Africa pageant. The South African reported that pageant host Carol Bouwer announced Dlamini will be an exceptional host.
“I admire the many young women who have come to epitomise excellence in broadcasting in South Africa, and when I look at Minnie I see many of the qualities we possessed at her age as women in broadcasting! I’m also proud of the work she has done to set herself apart,” she said.
Minnie, who was a pageant girl, took to Instagram to say how excited she was to be the new host and cheer on girls who stood where she stood.
“I’m so excited to announce 📣 I will be the host of the very first black female owned (@bouwercarol ) Miss World SA event taking place next month. We’re going global with @africachanneltv 🚀🌍 #HostDuties 💎”
