Cape Town — South African singer Makhadzi made recently headlines following her performance at the Kadoma Music Festival at Odyssey Kadoma in Zimbabwe.
She has had a great year musically. She announced the release of her new album in June and was able to perform at the Netball World Cup final in August, where she got to meet Cyril Ramaphosa.
Makhadzi also has had great success in Zimbabwe in the past. However, she made headlines for the wrong reasons at the Kadoma Festival as she faced backlash from fans in Zimbabwe after she walked off the stage after a bottle was thrown at her.

According to The South African, after the now-viral video circulated on social media, there have been many reactions and comments to Makhadzi’s actions at the concert.
Before walking off the stage, she made it known that she was uncomfortable with the incident. In another video that has been trending, she was seen demanding to go to the car after walking off the stage.
One member of her management was overheard saying that she was uncomfortable. However, her management and the event’s promoters have yet to issue statements despite the incident.
