Cape Town — South African singer Makhadzi performed at the recently-concluded Netball World Cup held in Cape Town and the star had the honour of performing in front of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Makhadzi shared a clip of her performance on her Instagram page.
Also present at the event were Premier Alan Winde and Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture Zizi Kodwa.
In the video, Makhadzi could be seen having an overwhelming moment, as she met Ramaphosa for the first time.
The president complimented her performance and her talents.
“Last night I cried so much guys. I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who have shown me support all these years. Firstly God is the greatest, for all his grace. Then my day one fans who have been with me through the hard and the nice times, thank you so much guys.”
“Today I can shake hands with the President and he tells me straight in the face that I am a great performer. Thank you thank you thank you. I am happy, now I can work on my album with energy” she said.

According to The South African, Black-ish star Anthony Anderson was also spotted at the Netball World Cup in Western Cape recently. He watched the Spar Proteas team from the sidelines. In a video doing the rounds on social media, the American comedian can be heard cheering.
“Spar Proteas, Yeah, let’s go tonight, let’s go!” Anderson said. For their last tournament, the Spar Proteas were up against Uganda and lost with a score totalling 47-49.
