Cape Town — Lynn Forbes celebrated her first Mother’s Day without her son Kiernan Forbes, also known as AKA, and has says she misses him.
Four months ago, AKA was tragically shot in Durban and the Forbes family have struggled with coming to terms with their loss. Lynn, in particular, has been vocal about missing her son, doing exclusive interviews and posting videos and pictures to her Instagram account in honour of him.
She recently posted a video of AKA and Kairo rollerblading together and AKA shouting to his mom “Mom, check here, I’m doing it” before he hung onto the side rails as Kairo skated by gracefully.
“‘At least you have his music and YouTube’, they say. All I want are more of our private moments. It’s been four months since I heard you call me mom and I just can’t get used to never hearing you say it again.
