Cape Town – South African musician and entrepreneur Sibusiso Leope, better known as DJ Sbu, has responded to comments that he looks like a hobo.
This comes after a video of him in a dirty looking-poncho and untidy dreadlocks went viral on social media.
Some Twitter users expressed concern about his appearance, saying he looked like a hobo.
Some even claimed that he “does not bath”.

DJ Sbu responded to the comments by saying that people shouldn’t be concerned about his appearance because there were more important things to be concerned about.

“Apparently people are saying I don’t bath. Guys, come on. There are more serious things we could be discussing in this country. Leave my ntshebe (beard) and hair alone. I have been working for many years guys and I don’t have anything to prove. I’m good,” said Sbu.

Speaking to Times Live in December 2021, DJ Sbu explained that his new look reflected his desire to learn about African history.
“When they say what you look like on the outside is a reflection of what is happening on the inside, I’m also going through that journey, I’m learning a lot about myself, African history and people who preached black consciousness. A lot of black consciousness Africans embraced their hair. It’s evolution, growth and becoming wise and smarter,” the report quoted DJ Sbu as saying.
