Cape Town – UK media personality and model Katie Price has detailed how she was raped at gunpoint during a carjacking in South Africa in 2018 while filming her reality show “My Crazy Life”.
In an interview with Daily Mail to promote her new docu-series Trauma and Me, Price revealed how six men held her and her children at gunpoint.
“The experience when I was filming with ITV in South Africa, we had no security. If we had security, they would have been able to deal with the six guys that jumped us, held me at gunpoint and raped me,” the report quoted Price as saying.
The report said that during the attack, the model was allegedly thrown out of the car while travelling from Johannesburg to Swaziland in a convoy with the production team of the reality show.
The attackers were allegedly never apprehended.
The media personality described how the attackers violently tried to gain access to the car in a video shared on August 6, 2018 on Quest Red on Facebook.
The video is captioned: “When there’s a Pricey, there’s drama Tonight @KATIE PRICE gets carjacked while on a safari trip. #KPMyCrazyLife tonight at 10pm!,”
“The kids wanted to wee. So, as we pulled over, the next thing I know, I’ve got this guy at the window. His face was just mad.
“The guy is going, ‘Open the fucking door!’ Then one of them came around the other way with a big stick trying to smash the window,” says Price in the video.
She continues to describe the chaotic scene with her two kids in the back seat screaming out for her.
“It was the worst thing I’ve ever had to go through in my entire life. I thought I was going to die,” she added.
Price said the attackers eventually took her keys and left.
On her Facebook page, the model revealed that the first episode of her new doccie series airs on Channel 4 at 21:00 on September 8.
